Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms apply to the PlainCapture browser extension and website, operated by Guigang Gangbei Mark E-commerce Studio (贵港市港北区马克电子商务工作室), a sole proprietorship registered in China, Gangbei District, Guigang City, Guangxi, China ("we"). By installing or using PlainCapture you agree to them.
1. The free version
You may install and use PlainCapture free of charge for personal and commercial purposes. Features that are free today will not be moved behind a paywall, and the free version will never add a watermark to your captures.
2. PlainCapture Pro
- Pro is offered as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime license. Prices are shown before you buy.
- Purchases are processed by Creem, our merchant of record, which is the seller of record for your order and handles payment, taxes and invoices. Creem's terms also apply to the payment.
- A license is for one person. It can be activated in up to 3 browsers at a time; you can remove it from a browser in the settings to free an activation.
- Yearly subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Lifetime means for as long as we offer PlainCapture Pro, including future updates to the Pro features you bought. If we ever stop offering Pro, Pro features already on your computer keep working without needing our servers.
3. Refunds
See our refund policy: a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked.
4. Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you capture and record. Do not use PlainCapture to record people or content without the consent or rights required by law, or in violation of the terms of the websites you capture. You may not resell license keys, or share them beyond the activation limit.
5. Your content
Your screenshots and recordings belong to you. We never receive them – see our privacy policy.
6. Updates and availability
We update PlainCapture regularly. Features may change to keep up with browser updates and store policies; we will not remove free features to push you to Pro. We do not guarantee that PlainCapture works on every website, as some pages (such as browser settings and the Chrome Web Store) cannot be captured by any extension.
7. Disclaimer
PlainCapture is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Keep your own copies of important captures; recordings stored inside the browser can be lost if browser data is cleared.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to PlainCapture is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use PlainCapture after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without affecting mandatory consumer protection laws where you live.
